HUNTSVILLE, Al. - The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team lost the WCHA series finale against Bowling Green on Saturday night by a final score of 8-3 at the Von Braun Center to wrap up the weekend's slate. UAH slips to 4-10-2 (4-6-2 WCHA), while BGSU improves to 6-7-1 (5-3-0 WCHA).

Turning Point

- After heading into the third period tied 2-2, Bowling Green broke through with a total of six markers in the third period for the 8-3 victory with Brett D'Andrea providing the game-winning tally at 6:19 of the frame.

Inside the Box Score

- Following a scoreless first period, the Falcons' Mitch McLain put the visitors on the board with a goal 45 seconds into the second period.

- However, UAH was able to respond at 10:45 of the middle frame on a goal by freshman Austin Beaulieu, which was an unassisted, power-play marker.

- The Chargers went on to add another during the five-minute power play caused by Stephen Baylis' game misconduct, as junior Brandon Parker netted a goal at 13:37 of the second. Parker was assisted by both Cam Knight and Josh Kestner on the play.

- Prior to the end of the second, McLain would add a goal at 18:26 to even the contest at 2-2 heading into the third period.

- UAH was able to take a 3-2 lead early into the third when Josh Kestner delivered a power-play goal at 3:28, thanks to assists from Knight and Kurt Gosselin.

- After Kestner's marker, Bowling Green went on to add six goals during the remainder of the stanza to make it an 8-3 final.

- Carmine Guerriero's record falls to 0-3-0 in goal after totaling 22 saves and seven goals allowed.

- UAH totaled 28 shots on goal during the contest, led by senior captain Brent Fletcher with five shots on target.

- Gosselin has now recorded at least one point in his past six appearances.
