BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's ice hockey team registered its second consecutive win in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) on Friday with a 3-0 victory over the nationally 16th-ranked Minnesota State Mavericks at the Ewigleben Ice Arena.

After a scoreless first period, the Bulldogs got off and running in the second when sophomore forward Corey Mackin scored his sixth goal of the year. Mayhew was on his back in the corner and passed a puck to senior forward Jared VanWormer, who centered it for Mackin. Mackin whipped it past Maverick goaltender Jason Pawloski at 34 seconds of the second period to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead.
