Junior Ryan Bednard made 25 saves and sophomore Connor Ford scored twice for the Falcons

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - Connor Ford scored twice to lead No. 10 Bowling Green to a 3-0 win over the Alaska Anchorage hockey team Saturday night at Sullivan Arena.

The Falcons got an early lead with a pair of goals in the first period.

UAA goalie Kris Carlson made the stop on a shot by Cameron Wright, but Lukas Craggs batted the puck out of the air past Carlson for his sixth goal of the season on the powerplay at 13:19.

Connor Ford scored his first goal with 12 seconds remaining in the period when he scored off a rebound by Chris Pohlkamp.

Cameron Wright recorded his second assist of the game when he sent a pass from behind the net to Connor Ford who scored his second goal of the game at 16:05 of the second period.

Carlson (0-4-0) finished with 23 for UAA.

BGSU finished with a slim 26-25 edge in shots.

Bowling Green finished 1-for-6 on the powerplay, and Alaska Anchorage was 0-for-8.

Alaska Anchorage (1-6-1, 0-5-1) will play at Northern Michigan Nov. 16-17.
