ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - Jordan Xavier and Nicolas Erb-Ekholm each scored for Alaska Anchorage in a 10-2 loss to Colorado College Saturday at Sullivan Arena.

Sophomore Jordan Xavier gave the Seawolves the early lead with a power-play goal at 6:40 of the first. Xavier tapped in a rebound off a shot from Carmine Buono with a second assist to Tomi Hiekkavirta.

Jordan Xavier also scored the first goal of last season in a 1-1 tie with North Dakota.

Colorado College countered with an offensive flurry scoring eight straight goals over the first and second period.

The Seawolves second goal of the evening came at 7:46 of the third period. Malcolm Hayes ripped a shot on net with the rebound falling to Nicolas Erb-Ekholm who tapped it in for his first point of the season. Eric Sinclair earned an assist on the goal.

The Tigers scored two goals in the third to complete the scoring.

Alaska Anchorage finished 1-for-2 on the powerplay with Colorado College going 1-for-6.

CC finished with a 31-27 edge in shots.

Kristian Stead took the loss in goal for the Seawolves giving up seven goals in 32:47 of action. Brody Claeys allowed three goals in relief.

The Seawolves and Tigers will close out the weekend series Sunday at 5:07 pm.
