Alabama Huntsville Shut Out by Omaha, 5-0

OMAHA, Neb. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team fell to Omaha 5-0 on Saturday night at Baxter Arena in nonconference action. UAH dips to 0-4-0, while UNO improves to 2-0-0.

Turning Point

-Omaha took a 1-0 lead at 7:13 of the first period on a goal by Joey Abate, as the Mavericks would not relinquish their lead in the Saturday night loss for the Chargers.

Scoring Breakdown

-Abate gave the hosts a 1-0 advantage at the 7:13 mark of the first period, which would stand as the difference heading into first intermission.

-The Mavericks added two goals in the second period by Ryan Jones on the power play at 12:07 and Zach Jordan at 16:21 to push the hosts lead to 3-0.

-UNO went on to add two more tallies in the third period by Chayse Primeau at 6:15 and Zach Jordan at 16:55 to bring the game to its 5-0 final score.
