MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Wildcat hockey program (16-11-4, 14-8-1-1) found no luck with the puck on Friday night as they fell to Bemidji State University (17-8-4, 17-4-2-1), 5-0.

BSU struck first, partway through the opening frame, off a turnover in the Wildcat zone near the blue line. Despite eight shots on goal in the opening period, the Beavers added another to their tally and stifled the Wildcat offense as NMU went to the locker room trailing 2-0, after one.

A three goal second period for the visitors saw the Wildcats trailing 5-0 as they went to the second intermission, a goal total they were unable to overcome.

When the final horn sounded at the Berry Events Center the Wildcats had blocked 10 shots, including two from Michael Van Unen, Vincent de Mey and Mitchel Slattery.
