Early in the second period, Ferris State sophomore forward Justin Michaelian roped a shot through traffic for his first goal of the year from Willets (8) to even the score at 1-1.

WMU pushed the Broncos back in front when Paul Washe finished a chance at the goal line for a 2-1 Western Michigan lead.

Ferris State evened the score at 15:20 of the second frame on the power play when sophomore forward Jake Transit scored his third goal of the season from freshman defenseman Connor Fedorek (2) and freshman forward Dallas Tulik (2) on a long shot through traffic inside the right goal post.
