HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team was tripped up in the nonconference series finale on Saturday at the Von Braun Center by visiting Michigan Tech by a final score of 4-1. UAH dips to 2-7-1, while MTU rises to 11-5-1.
-The Huskies broke a 1-1 tie at the 4:02 mark of the third period on a goal by Justin Misiak, and the visitors would hold that lead on the way to the 4-1 win on Saturday.
-Michigan Tech went first on the board on Saturday evening with a goal at 8:53 of the first by Trenton Bliss.
-UAH evened the score at 1-1 at 6:57 of the second period when Bennett Stockdale took a puck from behind the net and backhanded it into the net. Both Bauer Neudecker and Tyrone Bronte notched assists on the goal.
-The Huskies scored the go-ahead goal at 4:02 of the third period on Misiak's tally.
-MTU went on to add goals by Tristan Ashbrook at 6:19 and Alex Broetzman at 7:48 to bring the game to its 4-1 final.

-UAH starting goaltender Derek Krall made 37 saves in the contest while allowing four goals, as his record dips to 0-3-0 on the season with the loss.
-Krall posted 10 or more saves in two of the three periods on Saturday, including a game-high 15 stops in the second period.

-Josh Martin, Peyton Francis, Frank Vitucci and Noah Finstrom each had two shots on goal.
