Junior forward Ally Tarr scored a goal for the Buckeyes

Princeton used a late third period goal to earn a 2-1 upset win over No. 8 Ohio State in game two of the non-conference series in Princeton, N.J.

Junior goaltender Lisa Steffes got her first start of the season for Ohio State, stopping 19 of 21 shots. The Buckeyes out shot the Tigers 34-23, but could only muster one goal; a first period score by junior forward Ally Tarr.

The goal at 8:40 of the opening period was the first of the season for Tarr, who had three assists in the 4-2 OSU win Friday to finish with a four-point series. Tallying assists on the score were sophomore forwards Danielle Gagne and Taylor Kuehl.

Following a scoreless second period, Princeton scored 14 seconds into period three to tie the game at 1-all, on a goal from Alex Kinney. Brianna Leahy found the back of the net for the game-winner with 3:14 remaining in regulation to propel the Tigers to the 2-1 victory. Princeton goaltender Kimberly Newell finished with 33 saves.

Ohio State (11-5-0, 8-4-0 WCHA) travels to Mankato, Minn., for a league series with Minnesota State, Nov. 30-Dec. 1.
