BEMIDJI, Minn. - The Bemidji State University women's hockey team defeated the Korean National Women's Hockey Team, 5-0, during an exhibition at the Sanford Center, Wednesday night.

Five different Beavers tallied a goal in the game including four freshmen who found the back of the net for the first time wearing a Bemidji State sweater.

Freshman Paige Beebe opened the scoring with a goal two seconds before the first period ended. Freshman Lydia Passolt followed with her first goal 6:51 into the second period. The Beavers then fired off for three goals in the third period. Freshman Clair DeGeorge scored the first tally of the period at 6:05 and just 30 seconds later sophomore Kiki Radke sniped one home for the 4-0 lead. Freshman Mak Langei scored with just 3:35 left in the game to conclude the Beaver scoring.

Three goaltenders held a shutout for the Beavers in net led by Lauren Bench who made four saves. Senior Erin Deters started the game while freshman Kerigan Dowhy played the final 20 minutes for BSU. The Beavers held most of the puck possession, out-shooting Korea 58-6.
