BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – All eight Western Collegiate Hockey Association teams can be found on television this season, as the league announces a 10-game lineup in partnership with FOX 9+ throughout regular and postseason play. An extension of the Twin Cities-based FOX 9 station, FOX 9+ includes a slate of seven regular season games, along with the 2023 WCHA Final Faceoff.

A proud partner of the WCHA, FOX 9+ previously televised the 2022 WCHA Final Faceoff, including both semifinal games and championship matchup. While local to the Twin Cities, there is potential for these games to be picked up on regional networks in Bemidji, Columbus, Duluth, and Madison as well. All seven regular season matchups feature the No. 2 nationally ranked Minnesota women’s hockey program, facing off at all seven other WCHA institutions. Highlighting the best collegiate women’s hockey conference in the country, the Gophers drop the puck against other nationally ranked programs in No. 1 Ohio State, No. 4/5 Minnesota Duluth, No. 4/5 Wisconsin, and Minnesota State who is receiving votes in the current national polls. Other strong league matchups include Bemidji State, St. Cloud State, and the league’s newest member in St. Thomas.
Following the regular season, FOX 9+ is set to broadcast the highly anticipated WCHA Final Faceoff, including a pair of semifinal games on Friday, March 3, followed by the WCHA Championship on Saturday, March 4. Last season’s Final Faceoff featured four teams ranked in the top-5 in the nation, along with an overtime victory for Ohio State in the championship that earned the Buckeyes an automatic bid for the NCAA Tournament. Although joined by Minnesota, Minnesota Duluth, and Wisconsin in the postseason, Ohio State went on to add to its Final Faceoff Championship title by claiming its first NCAA National Championship.
All WCHA home games throughout the season can be streamed on the Big Ten Network streaming platform B1G+, with an annual pass starting at just $49.99. Fans will also be able to access the FOX 9+ televised games with their streaming packages. The 10 FOX 9+ broadcasts come in addition to B1G+ streams, making the televised matchups more accessible for WCHA fans in their local markets.
