FOX9+ to televise WCHA games in 2023-24

The Western Collegiate Hockey Association, celebrating its 25th season of women’s hockey competition this season, will have a minimum of 12 games featured on FOX9+ during the 2023-24 season. Fans can watch all eight WCHA teams compete in nine regular season games and three games at the 2024 WCHA Kwik Trip Final Faceoff. Additional regular season games are expected to be confirmed at a later date.

FOX 9+, your ticket to local sports, is an extension of FOX 9 and can be found on Comcast channel 10/807, DirecTV channel 29, DISH channel 29, Spectrum channel 10, Mediacom channel 10/803, and Over-The-Air channel 9.2. In addition, FOX 9+ can be streamed through Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV, fuboTV, and YouTube TV.  

A proud partner of the WCHA, FOX 9+ has televised the 2022 and 2023 WCHA Final Faceoff tournaments. While local to the Twin Cities, there is potential for these games to be picked up on regional networks in Bemidji, Columbus, Duluth, and Madison as well. The regular season matchups on FOX9+ feature the defending national champion Wisconsin Badgers, who are currently ranked number one in the nation, along with defending WCHA champion Ohio State (currently ranked number two in the country) and the defending WCHA Kwik Trip Final Faceoff champion Minnesota (currently ranked number four in the nation). The schedule also includes nationally ranked Minnesota Duluth (#6/7), Minnesota State (RV), St. Cloud State (#12/13), St. Thomas and Bemidji State. 

Following the regular season, FOX 9+ is set to broadcast the highly anticipated WCHA Kwik Trip Final Faceoff on March 8-9 from Ridder Arena in Minneapolis. The Kwik Trip Final Faceoff annually features the nation’s highest-ranked programs and best players, and the WCHA’s four remaining teams will compete for the WCHA Championship trophy and an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

All WCHA home games throughout the season can be streamed on the Big Ten Network streaming platform B1G+, with an annual pass starting at just $49.99. Fans can also access the FOX 9+ televised games with their streaming packages. The 12 FOX 9+ broadcasts come in addition to B1G+ streams, making the televised matchups more accessible for WCHA fans in their local markets.

ABOUT THE WCHA
Founded in 1999, the women’s league of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association has positioned itself as the top conference in all of women’s collegiate hockey and will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2023-24.  The WCHA has won an unprecedented 20 national championships while finishing as the national runner-up nine times since 1999.  The league has produced nine Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award winners as well an additional 24 student-athletes who were among the Top-3 finalists for the award.  In addition, WCHA student-athletes have been recognized as All-Americans 121 times in league history.
