BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Saturday's Western Collegiate Hockey Association action was highlighted by five teams earning points in the league standings.
St. Thomas moved to 4-0 on the season after earning the series sweep over Minnesota State. The Tommies' Madison Brown recorded the game-winning goal with 22 seconds left in the game to give her team the win. No. 11 St. Cloud State shut out Bemidji State for the second-straight game, winning 2-0. The Huskies are now off to a 6-0 to start the season for the first time in program history. No. 4 Ohio State and No. 2 Minnesota ended in a 1-1 draw while the Buckeyes took the extra WCHA point in the shootout. No. 1 Wisconsin defeated No. 3 Minnesota Duluth 5-1 for the Badgers first WCHA win of the season.

MANKATO, Minn. – St. Thomas started off the scoring early as Chloe Boreen and Maddy Clough scored the first and second goals of the game in the first period. Minnesota State's Whitney Tuttle answered for the Mavericks scoring back-to-back goals to tie the game heading into the third. With just 22 seconds left to play in regulation, Madison Brown scored the game-winning goal for the Tommies to earn the series sweep.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - No. 4 Ohio State and No. 2 Minnesota battled to a 1-1 draw to close out the series in Columbus. The Buckeyes took the extra conference point in the shootout after a scoreless overtime between the two teams. Ohio State's Jordyn Petrie got the game started with a goal in the opening frame. The Buckeyes held the Gophers scoreless until the third when Minnesota's Josefin Bouveng tallied the game-tying goal.

BEMIDJI, Minn. - The Huskies completed the series sweep over the Bemidji State and improved to 6-0 overall for the first time in program history. No. 11 St. Cloud State recorded its third-straight shutout in the 2-0 win as Emilia Kyrkkö earned the victory between the pipes. Kyrkkö had 18 saves on the game.

MADISON, Wis. - The top-ranked Badgers opened up WCHA play with a 5-1 win over No. 3 Minnesota Duluth. The Badgers held the lead from start to finish as Laney Badgers led all skaters in the game with two goals. Grace Sadura recorded the lone goal for the Bulldogs in the loss.
