STANDINGS | COMPOSITE SCHEDULE

Friday's action in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association was highlighted by No. 1 Wisconsin, No. 2 Ohio State, No. 5 Minnesota Duluth and Bemidji State each earning victories. 

The Bulldogs got the day started with a 3-0 shutout over St. Thomas to earn its third win in league play while the Badgers remained undefeated on the season with a 5-0 victory over No. 3 Minnesota. Ohio State defeated St. Cloud State on the road 5-1 as the Buckeyes remain in first place in the league standings. In non-conference play, Bemidji State defeated Lindenwood 6-3 as head coach Amber Fryklund earned her first win at the helm of the Beavers.

DULUTH, Minn
. - Minnesota Duluth's Caitlin Kraemer opened the game with a goal in the first frame as the Bulldogs never looked back. Minnesota Duluth closed out the game with two in the third to get the 3-0 shutout in their first game of the season at AMSOIL. This marked the Bulldog's third win in WCHA action as the team handed the Tommies their first loss of the season. St. Thomas' Calla Frank recorded 41 saves on the night for the Tommies.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - 
The top-ranked Badgers took the first Border Battle matchup of the season as Wisconsin defeated Minnesota 5-0 on the road. Wisconsin held a 1-0 lead heading into the third before scoring four more unanswered goals in the final frame. Wisconsin is now off to a 7-0 start to the season. Five different Badgers scored in the victory while the Gophers' Ava Lindsay tallied three shots on goal in the loss.

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - 
No. 2 Ohio State handed No. 11 St. Cloud State its first loss of the season after winning 5-1 on the road. The Buckeyes set the tone early with two goals in the first three minutes of action by Joy Dunne and Jordyn Petrie. Both Dunne and Petrie recorded two goals in the game for Ohio State. The Buckeyes' five goals were the most the Huskies have allowed all season. Grace Wolf scored her first goal of the season for the Huskies' lone goal of the night.

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Numerous firsts were achieved Friday night at Sanford Center but most importantly, the Bemidji State University Women's Hockey team captured its first win under new head coach Amber Fryklund with a 6-3 victory over Lindenwood University.
