No. 1 Wisconsin Shuts Out Bemidji State in Madison

The top-ranked Wisconsin Badgers defeated Bemidji State 4-0 in Thursday's Western Collegiate Hockey Association action.

MADISON, Wis. -
After a scoreless first nine minutes of play, Wisconsin's Laila Edwards found the back of the net for the first goal of the night and the 100th goal of her career. Wisconsin's  Marianne Picard and Caroline Harvey added goals in the second frame while Claire Enright scored with just 20 seconds left to go in the third to wrap up the shutout. Despite the loss, Bemidji State's freshman goaltender Kaitlin Groess recorded 33 saves on the night for the Beavers. The Badgers improved to 9-0 on the season after tonight's win and now hold a 5-0 record in WCHA play.
