OS HOCKEY
On Monday, the Western Collegiate Hockey Association announced that OS Hockey will become an official sponsor of the conference. The new deal marks the first new partnership of the 2024-25 WCHA season.
"The WCHA is thrilled to partner with OS Hockey Training," said WCHA Commissioner Michelle McAteer. Winny Brown and Justin Brown are synonymous with hockey in Minnesota and are tremendous advocates for girls and women's hockey. Both are WCHA alums as Winny was a Minnesota Gopher and Justin was at Michigan Tech. We are honored to have their support as an alum, and it's a natural partnership. Countless past, current and future WCHA players train and compete in OS."
"OS Hockey is beyond excited to partner with the WCHA," said Winny Brown. We are grateful to have the opportunity to give back to an association that has given so much to women's hockey over the last 26 years. We are looking forward to the future of this partnership and league."
Ties to the WCHA
Not only do Winny and Justin have ties within the WCHA, but several of their family members do as well. Winny's sister, Kerry Brodt Wethington, was the first-ever coach at St. Cloud State and has two daughters who have played in the WCHA, Madeline and Audrey. Madeline was a member of the Minnesota women's hockey team from 2019-2024 while her sister Audrey is currently in her final season with the Gophers. Winny's sister, Chesley Brodt Rosenthal, also played at Minnesota, while her older brother Vic Brodt played for the first-ever Division I men's St.Cloud State hockey team. His daughter Hanna Brodt Prow followed in his footsteps, playing for the St. Cloud State Women's hockey team from 2012-2016. Justin Brown played for Michigan Tech while his dad, Charlie Brown, was an All-American at Bemidji State and played on the United States Olympic Hockey team in 1972.
