Saturday's play in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association was highlighted by four teams earning points in the league standings. Top-ranked Wisconsin Badgers shut out No. 8 St. Cloud State 4-0 while No. 2 Ohio State won in overtime against St. Thomas. The third-ranked Minnesota Gophers defeated Bemidji State 4-1 on the road and Minnesota Duluth and Minnesota State ended in a 3-3 while the Bulldogs won the extra WCHA point

BEMIDJI, Minn. - The No. 3 Minnesota Gophers recorded four goals in the first period en route to its 4-1 victory over Bemidji State on the road. Abbey Murphy recorded two of the Gophers' four first-period goals as she led her team to its fourth-straight victory. Morgan Smith scored the lone goal for the Beavers in the loss while teammate Kaitlin Groess recorded 30 saves.

MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. - After 60 minutes of scoreless play, Ohio State's Emma Peschel scored just 21 seconds into overtime to give the Buckeyes the victory. The Tommies' Dani Strom put up 39 saves in the contest for a .975 save percentage. Peschel recorded her first game-winning goal of the season in the victory.

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The top-ranked Wisconsin Badgers recorded their fourth-straight shutout and secured the series sweep over No. 8 St. Cloud State in the 4-0 win. Four different Badgers scored in the victory as Laila Edwards, Maggie Scannell, Lacey Eden and Kirsten Simms found the back of the net in the victory.

MANKATO, Minn. - After a scoreless first period, Minnesota State's Taylor Otremba put the Mavericks on the board early in the second before Minnesota Duluth's Tova Anderson responded for the Bulldogs shortly after. Both teams scored two goals apiece in the third to send the contest to overtime. After a scoreless overtime, Minnesota Duluth's Anderson scored the shootout goal in the eighth round to give the Bulldogs the extra point.
