Wisconsin's McNaughton Named HCA National Co-Goaltender of the Month

Wisconsin's sophomore goaltender Ava McNaughton has been selected as the Hockey Commissioners' Association Co-Women's National Goaltender of the Month for November, announced Thursday afternoon. McNaughton shares the monthly honor with Northeastern's Lisa Jönsson. This marks McNaughton's first HCA National Monthly honor of her career. 

The WCHA Goaltender of the Month in November recorded six wins and two shutouts during the month. Three of McNaughton's six wins came against ranked opponents while collecting one against No. 2 Ohio State and two versus No. 8 St. Cloud State. The sophomore netminder posted a 1.20 goals-against average and .956 save percentage during November while collecting 173 saves. 

The Seven Fields, Pennsylvania native is tied for first in the nation and leads the WCHA with five shutouts this season. McNaughton is the winningest goaltender in both the NCAA and WCHA with a win percentage of 0.941.
