Saturday's non-conference action in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association saw four teams record victories to close out the month of November. No. 1 Wisconsin (Maine), No. 4 Minnesota Duluth (Vermont), and Minnesota State (Dartmouth) each earned series sweeps over their respective opponents while No. 8 St. Cloud State split its series with Union.

DULUTH, Minn. – Behind five points and the first collegiate hat trick of Caitlin Kraemer, No. 4 Minnesota Duluth skated right through the University of Vermont 9-1 Saturday afternoon.

HANOVER, N.H. – Jenessa Gazdik scored the last of three power-play goals as Minnesota State topped Dartmouth 3-2 in overtime Saturday afternoon. The Mavericks moved to 4-0 in non-conference action with the victory and are now on a three-game win streak.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The tommies faced No. 12 Penn State in game two of the Smashville Showcase and after two scoreless periods, each team scored in the third frame to send the game to overtime. After a scoreless overtime, the Nittany Lions won the shootout in the seventh round. Dani Strom finished the game totaling 33 saves.
With neither team scoring in the overtime period, St. Thomas (5-11-2, 2-9-1 WCHA) picked up a 1-1 tie against Penn State (13-4-1, 6-0-0 AHA) on Saturday afternoon.

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – No. 8 St. Cloud State defeated Union (N.Y.), 2-1 in its final nonconference game of the season on Saturday afternoon at Messa Rink in Schenectady, New York. Myers Avery scored the game-winning goal for the Huskies marking her first goal of the season.

ORONO, Maine. – Caroline Harvey and Kirsten Simms recorded three points each to help the top-ranked Wisconsin Badgers to a 6-1 victory over the Maine Black Bears at the Alfond Arena Saturday. The Badgers improved to 17-1-0 overall on the season and 8-0-0 in non-conference action.
