St. CLOUD, Minn. - No. 4 Minnesota Duluth and No. 8 St. Cloud State battled to a 1-1 draw Friday afternoon as the Bulldogs earned the extra WCHA point in the shootout win. St. Cloud State's Alice Sauriol scored five minutes into the play as the Huskies held the Bulldogs scoreless until Olivia Mobley tied the game early in the third frame for Minnesota Duluth. After a scoreless overtime, the Bulldogs won the shootout as Eve Gascon made all three stops against all three players she faced to secure the extra point for UMD.

MANKATO, Minn. - The top-ranked Wisconsin Badgers defeated Minnesota State 2-1 on the road Friday afternoon. The Badgers improved to 12-1-0 in league play while the Mavericks fell to 2-8-1. Caroline Harvey put the Badgers on the board less than three minutes into the first frame. The second frame saw Kirsten Simms score the game-winning goal for Wisconsin before Madison Mashuga found the back of the net for the lone goal of the game for Minnesota State. The HCA National Co-Goaltender of the Month, Wisconsin's Ava McNaughton posted 21 saves to get the win between the pipes.

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Gophers earned their second shutout of the season in Friday night's 5-0 win over St. Thomas on the road. Josefin Bouveng netted back-to-back goals to start the scoring for the Gophers. Teammate Abbey Murphy followed up with two back-to-back goals of her own in the second frame, while the rookie defender Chloe Primerano recorded the only goal of the third period. Freshman netminder Hannah Clark recorded her first shutout of the season for Minnesota while recording 14 saves.
