FOX9+ to Televise WCHA Games in 2024-25

Bloomington, Minn. - The Western Collegiate Hockey Association announced on Thursday that it will have a minimum of 12 games featured on FOX9+ during the 2024-25 season. 

Fans can watch all eight WCHA teams compete in 9 regular season matchups and three games at the 2025 WCHA Final Faceoff. Additional regular-season games are expected to be confirmed at a later date.

This year’s schedule on FOX9+ includes the following WCHA games:

Saturday, Sept. 28: Ohio State at Bemidji State - 3 PM CT / 4 PM ET
Saturday, Oct. 12: Minnesota at Ohio State - 2 PM CT / 3 PM ET
Saturday, Oct. 26: St. Thomas at St. Cloud State - 11:30 AM CT
Saturday, Oct. 26: Minnesota at Minnesota State - 2 PM CT 
Saturday, Nov. 2 Minnesota at Bemidji State - 2 PM CT
Saturday, Nov. 16: Minnesota at Minnesota Duluth - 3 PM CT
Saturday, Jan. 18: Minnesota at Minnesota State - 2 PM CT
Saturday, Jan. 25: Minnesota State at Ohio State - 2 PM CT / 3 PM ET
Friday, Feb. 14: Bemidji State at St. Thomas - 7 PM CT

With no subscriptions or fees, FOX 9+ is your FREE ticket to local sports, which reaches nearly two million homes.  FOX 9+ can be found on Comcast channel 10/807, DirecTV channel 29, DISH channel 29, Spectrum channel 10, Mediacom channel 10/803, and Over-The-Air channel 9.2. In addition, these games will be available on FOX 9+ on Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV, FuboTV, and YouTube TV.  

All eight league members will be featured on the FOX9+ broadcast schedule this season. The regular season FOX9+ schedule currently features five Top 15 nationally-ranked teams, including the defending national champion Ohio State and runner-up Wisconsin. The top-ranked Buckeyes will face No. 3 Minnesota on Saturday, Oct. 12 while the Gophers will play host to No. 2 Wisconsin on Saturday, Oct. 19. Other strong league matchups include No. 7 Minnesota Duluth hosting the Gophers on Saturday, Nov. 16 and No. 11 St. Cloud State facing St. Thomas on Saturday, Oct. 26. The schedule kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 28 as Bemidji State hosts the Buckeyes at 3 PM CT. 

Following the regular season, FOX 9+ is set to broadcast the highly anticipated WCHA Final Faceoff on March 7-8 from AMSOIL Arean in Duluth, Minnesota. The Final Faceoff annually features the nation’s highest-ranked programs and best players, and the WCHA’s four remaining teams will compete for the WCHA Championship trophy and an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

KMSP FOX 9 and WFTC FOX 9 Plus are part of the FOX Television Stations which owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in nine of the top ten largest designated market areas (DMAs), and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago). All WCHA home games throughout the season can be streamed on The Big Ten Network streaming platform B1G+. A B1G+ subscription, which provides access to WCHA hockey games as well the entire library of events and programming on B1G+, is available in both annual ($89.99) and monthly ($12.99) options. To subscribe, download the B1G+ app or visit bigtenplus.com. Fans can also access the FOX 9+ televised games with their streaming packages. All of the FOX 9+ broadcasts come in addition to B1G+ streams, making the televised matchups more accessible for WCHA fans in their local markets.
