MADISON, Wis. - The Badgers recorded their first sweep of 2025 after defeating the Mavericks 3-1 inside of LaBahn Arena on Sunday. With just under three minutes left in the first frame, Cassie Hall found the back of the net to put Wisconsin on the board first. The second period saw both teams hold each other scoreless. Wisconsin scored two more in the third before Minnesota State's Alexis Paddington got one back with six and a half minutes to play to close out the game. Badger netminder Ava McNaughton recorded 17 saves en route to earning her 21st win of the season. Despite the loss, Minnesota State's Hailey Hansen made a career-high 50 saves in the contest.
