ERIE, Penn. - Ohio State defeated Mercyhurst 5-1 for its fifth straight win on Tuesday night in a non-conference contest. The Buckeyes' Joy Dunne put her team on the board just over 15 minutes into the first before teammate Jenna Buglioni converted on a penalty shot three minutes later. The second frame saw Kiara Zanon score under a minute into play. Mercyhurst then responded with its first goal and only goal of the night. The Buckeyes tallied two more goals to close out the game Jordyn Petrie courtesy of Mira?Jungåker. Amanda Thiele became the winningest goaltender in Ohio State program history in the victory.
