Three Western Collegiate Hockey Association teams were victorious in Friday's non-conference action with No. 3 Minnesota, No. 4 Minnesota Duluth and Minnesota State each extending their win streaks.

- No. 4 Minnesota Duluth 2, Syracuse 1 - Box Score | Recap 
DULUTH, Minn. - The fourth-ranked Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs completed the non-conference series sweep over Syracuse with a 2-1 victory Friday afternoon in AMSOIL arena. Clara Van Wieren scored the opening goal of the game, while rookie forward Caitlin Kraemer netted the game-winning goal. 

- No. 3 Minnesota 9, Brown 1  - Box Score | Recap 
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The third-ranked Minnesota Gophers scored a season-high nine goals in the 9-1 win against Brown to start the East/West Showcase at Ridder Arena. Seven different Gophers scored in the victory as the team was led by Natalie Mlynkova and Josefin Bouveng who each had two. Peyton Hemp scored her 50th career goal in the victory while also tying her career high in points with three. 

- Minnesota State 8, Lindenwood 1 - Box Score | Recap
ST. CHARLES, Mo. - Minnesota State defeated Lindenwood 8-1 on the road in its opening game of the series with the Lions as junior forward Whitney Tuttle tallied four goals in the contest. Tuttle became the first WCHA skater this season to record four goals in a game while sophomore netminder Hailey Hansen turned away 18 of the 19 shots she faced in the contest. The eight goals in the victory were the most amount by the Mavericks this season. 

- No. 12 Penn State 6, Bemidji State 4 - Box Score | Recap 
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Bemidji State fell 6-4 to No. 11 Penn State University Friday afternoon in its first game of of the East/West Showcase hosted by Minnesota at Ridder Arena. After taking a 3-1 lead over the Nittany Lions with 35 minutes remaining, Penn State stormed back to score four straight goals. Bemidji State responded with 3:33 left to pull the Beavers back within one late but a short-handed, empty-net goal by the Nittany Lions sealed the 6-4 victory. Four different Beavers scored in the loss with Isa Goettl, Genevieve Hendrickson, Morgan Smith and Izy Fairchild each finding the back of the net.
