- The tenth-ranked St. Cloud State Huskies earned their first conference win of the season in a thrilling come-from-behind 4-3 overtime victory against St. Thomas.
- Cara Sajevic gave St. Thomas a 3-2 lead with less than seven minutes left in regulation, but it was not enough as the Huskies' Grace Wolfe sent the game to overtime after scoring with less than 30 seconds left, and teammate Alice Sauriol scored the overtime goal for the St. Cloud State victory.
- St. Cloud State was led by Sauriol on the offensive end as she recorded the first two-goal game of her career; Wolf and Laura Zimmermann also chipped in a goal for the Huskies.
- Three different Tommies scored in the game with Sajevic, Rylee Bartz, and Ellah Hause; Julia Minotti recorded 40 saves in the loss for St. Thomas.

- In its opening game of the 2025 Women's Icebreaker Tournament, No. 1 Wisconsin defeated Vermont 8-1 to advance to the championship game, as the Badgers will face the host Union on Saturday.
- Three Badgers recorded two goals in the win with Caroline Harvey, Cassie Hall, and Kelly Gorbatenko; Lacey Eden and Laney Potter each tallied one apiece.
- Both Maggie Scannell and Eden each tallied two helpers in the win, while Eden became the 13th Badger in program history to record 100 career assists.

- The fourth-ranked Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs shut out Minnesota State 5-0 in their home opener for their first conference win of the season.
- After a scoreless first period, Caitlin Kraemer scored her first of two on the night for the Bulldogs just over three minutes into the second frame; UMD then added four more in the final period with goals from Kraemer, Mary Kate O'Brien, and Rae Mayer.
- Ève Gascon stopped all 24 shots she faced in the victory to earn her third shutout of the season for Minnesota Duluth.
- Minnesota State netminder Hailey Hansen collected a season-high 41 saves in the loss for the Mavericks; this was the first 40-plus save game for Hansen this season.
