A thrilling Saturday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association saw both No. 3 Ohio State and Minnesota State earn series sweeps while Bemidji State defeated No. 10 St. Cloud State in overtime.

- Minnesota State earned a series sweep over No. 2 Minnesota after a 4-1 victory at home on Saturday afternoon, marking the first time since 2006 that the Mavericks earned a sweep over the Gophers.
- Mercury Bischoff scored her first of three goals on the day for the Mavericks at the 13:20 mark of the opening frame before Josefin Bouveng responded for Minnesota just over a minute later; Minnesota State scored two unanswered in the second courtesy of Bischoff and Whitney Tuttle before Bischoff scored an empty netter with less than two minutes to play in the game.
- Mercury Bischoff recorded her first career hat trick in the win for Minnesota State; Hailey Hansen stopped 27 of the 28 shots she faced in the net for the Mavericks.
- Bouveng extended her career-long point streak to 15 games despite the loss; the Gophers also outshot the Mavericks 28-21 in the game.

- The third-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes earned a top-five series sweep, defeating No. 5 Minnesota Duluth 4-1 on the road as the Buckeyes moved into sole possession of first place in the WCHA standings with 32 points on the season.
- Ohio State scored the first four goals of the game to secure the 4-1 win over the Bulldogs; Brooke Disher and Sanni Vanhanen each scored a goal in the first frame, while Joy Dunne scored the game's third goal and Jordyn Petrie tallied the fourth; Danielle Burgen scored the only goal for UMD at the 14:49 mark of the second period.
- Dunne led the Buckeyes offensively with a goal and two assists as she finished the series with a team-high five points; Genny Klein recorded a career-high 31 saves to earn her first career win.
