Bemidji State earned its first conference win of the season, defeating No. 14 St. Thomas to highlight Saturday's Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) action.

- The Beavers earned their first win in WCHA play with a 2-1 upset victory over No. 14 St. Thomas to split the series on Saturday afternoon. 
- Bemidji State's Izy Fairchild scored her first shorthanded goal of the season off an assist for Morgan Smith less than three minutes into the first period for an early 1-0 lead; after a scoreless second frame, Shelby Sandberg gave the Beavers a two-goal lead over two minutes into the third before Chloe Boreen scored the lone goal for the Tommies at the 15:54 mark. 
- The win marked the first over a ranked opponent for Bemidji State since the 2021-22 season, when the Beavers defeated then No. 2 Ohio State. 
- Kaitlin Groess stopped 27 of the 28 shots she faced to earn the win in the net for the Beavers, marking her third of the season.
