DULUTH, Minn. - The top-seeded Wisconsin Badgers advanced to the 2025 Kwik Trip WCHA Final Faceoff Championship Game after defeating fourth-seeded Minnesota Duluth 3-1 in the day's first semifinal contest.

Minnesota Duluth's Grace Sadura scored just under three minutes into the game to give the Bulldogs an early lead. Wisconsin's Kelly Gorbatenko netted the equalizer for the Badgers at the 6:21 mark of the first as both teams held each other scoreless for the remainder of the first. The game-winning goal came from WCHA Defender of the Year, Wisconsin's Caroline Harvey, at the 15:11 mark in the second period. The third frame saw Emma Venusio score the final goal of the game, marking her first collegiate goal for the Badgers. The Badgers are now making their 16th WCHA Championship in program history. WCHA Goaltender of the Year, Minnesota Duluth's Ève Gascon, recorded 39 saves in the loss.
