AHCA Full Release

The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) released its annual list of  Krampade All-American Scholars on Wednesday afternoon, as a total of 73 Western Collegiate Hockey Association student-athletes were recognized. 

To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester and had to appear in 40% of the team’s games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders. Schools also were required to be members of the AHCA.

Bemidji State had 15 student-athletes receive the honor, the most of any league member. Minnesota State had 13 on the list, followed by Ohio State and St. Cloud State, which each had 10. Minnesota Duluth had eight individuals earn the honor and was followed by Minnesota and St. Thomas, who each had seven, while Wisconsin had a trio of Badgers on the list.
