Bemidji State battled to a 2-2 draw against Merrimack while earning the shootout win in Sunday's Western Collegiate Hockey Association action.

- After taking game one of the series, Bemidji State battled to a 2-2 draw with Merrimack while earning the shootout win in game two as the Beavers rounded out their non-conference slate with a 3-1-2 record.  
- Morgan Smith recorded the first goal of the game at the 7:38 mark of the first period before Merrimack tied the game less than three minutes later; Raeley Carney netted one late in the first period to give the Beavers the 2-1 lead; the Bobcats tied the game again just under five minutes into the second period; after a scoreless third frame and overtime, the Beavers won the shootout. 
-  Six different Beavers each registered a point in the game, while Kaitlin Groess made 13 saves on the night.
