While helping each of their teams to weekend sweeps, four players have been named to WCHA Player of the Week honors, presented by OS Hockey.
St. Cloud State's Maria Mikaelyan and Alexis Ehrman as well as Ohio State's Mira Jungåker each helped their teams to six points in the league standings, while Wisconsin's Nela Polušanová and the Badgers remain undefeated in nonconference action.
WCHA Forward of the Week
Maria Mikaelyan, So., St. Cloud State (Moscow, Russia)
In helping St. Cloud State earn a weekend sweep of then-No. 15/14 Minnesota State, sophomore Maria Mikaelyan tallied six points by five goals and one assist. To earn the first WCHA Forward of the Week honor in her career, Mikaelyan recorded the league's first hat trick of the 2026-27 campaign in Friday's 5-2 victory, before having a hand in all three goals in Saturday's 3-0 win by adding two goals and an assist. On the weekend, Mikaelyan tallied both game-winning goals to lift St. Cloud State to a 4-0-0 record for just the second time in program history, effectively extending its win streak over ranked opponents to a program-best four games. Mikaelyan previously earned two WCHA Rookie of the Week honors in the 2025-26 season.
Other Nominees: Bella Fanale (Minnesota), Hailey Armstrong (Bemidji State), Maggie Scannell (Wisconsin), Joy Dunne (Ohio State), Josie St. Martin (Minnesota Duluth).
WCHA Defender of the Week
Mira Jungåker, Jr., Ohio State (Jönköping, Sweden)
Standing out on the blue line in weekend sweep of RV St. Thomas was Ohio State's Mira Jungåker. The junior tallied five assists, ultimately having a hand in half of Ohio State's 10 goals on the weekend. Jungåker led the Buckeyes with a plus-6 rating on the ice to help them pick up six points in league-opening play, while her trio of assists on Saturday are the most in a game by the Buckeyes so far this season. It marks the second WCHA Defender of the Week honor of Jungåker's career (Jan. 27, 2025) and third weekly honor overall.
Other Nominees: Chloe Primerano (Minnesota), Lola Macuiba (Bemidji State), Siiri Yrjölä (St. Cloud State), Ava Murphy (Wisconsin).
WCHA Goaltender of the Week
Alexis Ehrman, Fr., St. Cloud State (Calgary, Alberta)
Freshman netminder Alexis Ehrman stopped all 37 shots faced in 69:40 of action this weekend for St. Cloud State. In a weekend sweep of then-No. 15/14 Minnesota State, Ehrman first made four stops in her collegiate debut on Friday, before posting a 33-save shutout in her first career start in Saturday's 3-0 win. Her 33 saves were the third-most in a game by a WCHA goaltender during the week, while lifting the Huskies to a perfect 4-0-0 start on the year. The WCHA Goaltender of the Week honor is the first league award in Ehrman's collegiate career.
Other Nominees: Hannah Clark (Minnesota), Sophia Villanueva (Bemidji State), Ava McNaughton (Wisconsin), Taylor Kressin (Ohio State).
WCHA Rookie of the Week
