Five teams earned points in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association standings to highlight Saturday's action.

- For the first time in the series history, No. 3 Minnesota and St. Thomas ended in a tie while the Gophers won the extra point with a shootout victory.
- Minnesota's Jamie Nelson netted a power play goal with less than 20 seconds left in the first period; after a scoreless second period, Whitney Horton scored the equalizer at the 12:10 mark of the third period to send the game to overtime; after scorless overtime, Minnesota won the shootout and the extra point in the league standings.
- Nelson's goal in regulation marked her 10th of the season for the Goophers while teammate Hannah Clark made 26 saves in the game.
- Julia Minotti made 22 saves in the net for St. Thomas.

- The 10th-ranked Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs recorded a 5-0 shutout over Bemidji State to earn the series sweep and improve to 15-12-3 on the season.
- Caitlin Kraemer lit the lamp for UMD just over 13 minutes into the first frame; the Bulldogs added three more in the third, including back-to-back goals from Madi Burr, while Kate Kosobud scored the fifth Bulldog goal at the 13:56 mark of the third frame.
- Burr recorded the first two-goal game of her career and a career-high three points to lead the Bulldogs in the win.
- Ève Gascon earned her seventh shutout of the season is now just the third UMD goaltender ever to record seven shutouts in a season.

- The second-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes defeated No. 1 Wisconsin 4-1 in the series opener on the road; the Buckeyes improved 26-3-0 on the season as head coach Nadine Muzerall recorded her 250th career win, and she is 250-84-22 in ten years as head coach of the Buckeyes.
- Ohio State's Jordyn Petrie and Sloane Matthews each netted a goal in the first to give the Buckeyes an early 2-0 lead; after a scoreless second period, the Buckeyes scored back-to-back goals yet again before Wisconsin's Ava Muprhy scored the lone goal for the Badgers with three minutes remaining.
- Hailey MacLeod recorded her third straight game with at least 30 saves and allowed just one goal to the Badgers, who averaged over five goals per game entering the series.
- The loss for the Badgers marked the first loss to the Buckeyes since Feb. 23, 2024.

- After a loss in yesterday's series opener, No. 15 Minnesota State bounced back to earn a 4-1 victory in game two as the Mavericks recorded their 13th win of the season.
- Kamryn Van Batavia put the Mavericks up early, scoring just over 11 minutes into the first frame; the Mavericks added two goals in the first three minutes of the second before the Huskies scored their lone goal at the 10:12 mark of the third; the Mavericks then responded with another goal of their own for the 4-1 victory.
- Captain Taylor Otremba recorded a season-high three points in the win with her one goal and two assists; Hailey recorded 34 saves to earn the win in net.
- Maélie Pion recorded the lone goal of the game for the Huskies as Raili Mustonen and Payton Holloway each registered an assist.
