- The second-ranked Wisconsin Badgers shut out No. 7 Quinnipiac 6-0 at home in the NCAA Regional Final to advance to its fourth straight NCAA Frozen Four.
- Kelly Gorbatenko lit the lamp early for the Badgers, scoring just over two minutes into the first period, while teammate Kirsten Simms made it a 2-0 lead later in the period; Adéla Šapovalivová scored just over a minute into the second frame before Gorbatenko netted her second goal at the 17:10 mark of the period; Lacey Eden recorded an empty net goal on the power play in the third period, while Gorbatenko closed out the game with her third goal of the day.
- Head Coach Mark Johnson earned his 700th career win in the victory, becoming the first coach in NCAA women's hockey history to reach 700 victories.
- Wisconsin is now 9-1-1 all-time against the Bobcats.
