Sarah Bobrowski began her first season with the Bemidji State Women's Hockey program in 2022-23 and served as an assistant coach. She joined Bemidji State after serving as an on-ice instructor with the Ottawa Senators Youth Hockey Program since April of 2021 and played professionally in Germany for one season.
2023-24 will be the second season Bobrowski will serve as an assistant coach.
In her first season as an assistant, the Beavers were 5-30-1 overal and finished eighth in the WCHA with six league points and a conference record of 2-26-0. The Beavers earned a series sweep over Lindenwood University to open the season and earned victories against Minnesota State, Sacred Heart and St. Thomas. Following the conclusion of the regular season, the Beavers hit the road for the first round of the WCHA Playoffs and traveled to top-seeded Ohio State University. The Beavers battled the Buckeyes in two, hard-fought games including falling by just one goal in game two but were defeated in two games of the best-of-three series. At the conclusion of the season, a WCHA-leading 16 Beavers were named WCHA Scholar-Athletes and 19 were tabbed as WCHA All-Academic Team selections. Reece Hunt, Hannah Hogenson, Abby DeLaRosa and Taylor Nelson and were also tabbed as College Sports Communicators Academic All-District while DeLaRosa was a finalist for the WCHA Student-Athlete of the Year.
Bobrowski played three seasons at Lindenwood University from 2014-17 where she set the program’s single-season record with 19 assists and was named to the College Hockey America (CHA) All-Academic Team and the CHA Playoff All-Tournament Team. She finished her collegiate career playing one season at Hamline University, earning selections to the CCM/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) West All-America Second Team, the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) All-Conference Team, and the AHCA All-America Scholar Team. Bobrowski guided Hamline to its first Frozen Four appearance in program history and set an NCAA Division III single-game record with nine points.
While attending Hamline, Bobrowski began her coaching career in 2017 as a AAA girls hockey coach for the Minnesota Ice Cougars. After graduating from Hamline in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Bobrowski took over as a girls hockey coach with Mahtomedi High School from 2018-19, where she served as the junior varsity head coach and varsity assistant coach.
Bobrowski went on to play internationally for Eisbaren Berlin in Germany from 2019-20 and finished the season tied as the team’s points leader.
