How To Watch WCHA Games On B1G+

Following the announcement of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association's revolutionary partnership with the Big Ten Network and B1G+, packages are now on sale for the exclusive streaming partner.

Beginning with the 2021-22 season, fans can watch the games of all eight WCHA campuses through the B1G+ platform, while the league is set to host at least two televised matchups on the Big Ten Network.

Eight of 10 games featuring WCHA programs on the weekend of Oct. 1-2 are available to stream on B1G+ with the WCHA Pass. Here's how to do so:

1. From the Big Ten Network homepage at www.btn.com, click on the B1G+ box in blue in the upper right-hand corner.

4. Fans have the option of three passes, including a variety of annual and monthly packages:

  • WCHA Pass: $49.99 per year
    • Featuring all eight member institutions, the WCHA Pass includes 110 conference games. Each program is slated for a 28-game WCHA schedule, the complete WCHA Postseason, including the 2022 Final Faceoff, and several nonconference matchups hosted at WCHA member institutions.
  • Hockey Sport Pass: $54.99 per year
    • Access to all B1G+ ice hockey content for one year, including WCHA and men's and women's Big Ten games. The Hockey Sport Pass also features archived replays and an on-demand library for ice hockey.
  • School Pass (available for Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio State): $79.95 per year, $9.95 per month
    • Available to Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Ohio State fans, the School Pass includes access to content for THE CHOSEN SCHOOL'S WCHA games, in addition to each of the chosen school's additional Big Ten events airing on B1G+.

6. Next step is to create your account using your name, email address, and a password. Two drop down menus include sport selection and choosing a school. Choosing a school is required, and at this time not all WCHA programs are listed. Selecting a certain school does not affect the users access to WCHA games or their streaming package. It will change the color theme of the B1G+ header on a desktop browser, but not for mobile and smart TV users.

7. After completing the payment for the selected pass, upcoming events can be found on the top navigation bar under "Event Calendar".

8. Events that you have access to will not have a "Subscribe" button to the right of the event, as you will be able to click on the game directly to watch. If a game you would like to watch has a "Subscribe" button listed, your package will need to be upgraded to watch.

After purchasing a B1G+ package, fans are then ready to watch the Big Ten Network of streams on a PC, phone, tablet, or TV through apps on the Apple store and AppleTV, Google Play, Chromecast, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV.
