OSU's MacLeod & Petrie Join Wisconsin's O'Brien & Harvey in Earning WCHA Weekly Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – After helping their teams to weekend series sweeps, Ohio State's duo of Hailey MacLeod and Jordyn Petrie joined Wisconsin's Casey O'Brien and Caroline Harvey in claiming the Western Collegiate Hockey Association weekly honors, announced Monday by the league office. 



WCHA Forward of the Week
Casey O'Brien, Sr., Wisconsin (Milton, Mass.)
In Wisconsin's season-opening series against Lindenwood, O'Brien recorded two goals and six assists for eight points to lead the Badgers to a sweep of the Lions. On Friday night, O'Brien scored a goal and assisted on three as Wisconsin defeated Lindenwood 12-0. The Milton, Massachusetts native followed with a one-goal, three-assist performance in Saturday's 8-1 victory. O'Brien moved into seventh place in Wisconsin program history in career points with 194 while also moving into fourth place in career assists with 121 after her performance on the weekend.

WCHA Defender of the Week
Caroline Harvey, Jr., Wisconsin (Salem, N.H.)

Harvey recorded two assists in the Badgers' 12-0 season-opening victory against Lindenwood on Friday. The Junior defender then followed with a one-goal, two-assist performance in the 8-1 win on Saturday. On the weekend, Harvey totaled five points to help the Badgers to a series sweep over the Lions and earned the first Defender of the Week honor of the season for Wisconsin.

WCHA Goaltender of the Week
Hailey MacLeod, Jr., Ohio State (Abbotsford, B.C.)

On Saturday against Bemidji State, MacLeod earned her first shutout for her Ohio State career as the Buckeyes defeated the Beavers 3-0. Saturday's 3-0 victory also marked the first win in MacLeod's career as a Buckeye. MacLeod made 15 saves to hold the Beavers scoreless for the Buckeyes' first shutout of the season.

WCHA Rookie of the Week
Jordyn Petrie, F. Ohio State (Lincoln, Neb.)

In Ohio State's first series win of the season against Bemidji State, Petrie led the Buckeyes with three goals. In game one, Petrie recorded her first multi-goal game of her career with two goals including her first power-play goal. She now leads Ohio State with four goals on the season.
