All eight Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) teams return to the ice this weekend with more conference points on the line. Two top-15 matchups are on the slate with No. 1 Wisconsin hosting No.15 St. Thomas and No. 5 Minnesota Duluth welcoming No. 3 Ohio State to AMSOIL Arena.

Big Ten Network Matchups: Last week, the Big Ten Network and the WCHA announced two conference matchups will air on the Big Ten Network this season, with Minnesota hosting Minnesota State on Jan. 10 at 7:30 PM CT and Wisconsin hosting Ohio State on Feb. 7 at 3 PM CT.
FACEOFF FACTS
Dominance With Receipts: For the fifth-straight week, six of the eight WCHA squads were ranked in the top-15 of the USCHO poll with No. 1 Wisconsin, No. 2 Minnesota, No. 3 Ohio State, No. 5 Minnesota Duluth, No. 10 St. Cloud State, and No. 15 St. Thomas. Minnesota State also recieved votes in the latest poll.
Top-Five Tundra: This weekend's matchups are headlined by a top-five showdown as No. 5 Minnesota Duluth welcomes No. 2 Ohio State to AMSOIL Arena. The Bulldogs hold the all-time advantage in the series with a 64-33-6 record over the Buckeyes. In their last meeting, Ohio State won 2-1 inside AMSOIL Arena during the regular season.
Harvey Watch: Wisconsin blueliner Caroline Harvey currently sits at 161 points in her career and is seven points away from setting the WCHA record for most career points by a defender. Minnesota's Ronda Curtin currently holds the record with her 167 career points from 1999-03.
Huskies Badger Back: After a series-opening loss last Friday to No. 1 Wisconsin, No. 10 St. Cloud State battled the Badgers to a 4-4 draw in game two, with the top-ranked Wisconsin ultimately earning the extra point in the WCHA standings with the shootout win. This marked the first time this season that a team has battled Wisconsin to a draw.
Young BUCK-eye: Ohio State's rookie forward Hilda Svensson continues to lead all first-year skaters in the NCAA in points as she has 24 on the season with nine goals and 14 assists. Svensson currently sits at fourth overall in the NCAA with her 24 points.
Lucky Thirteen: After recording three assists in Minnesota's 9-2 victory over Bemidji State last Saturday, Josefin Bouveng extended her point streak to 13 games.
Saving the Day: In last Saturday's 4-4 draw with Wisconsin, St. Cloud State's Emilia Kyrkkö recorded a season and career-high 52 saves. Her 52 saves were the most of any WCHA goaltender this season and the most by a Husky netminder since Emma Polusny made 55 saves against Minnesota on Feb. 11, 2022.
Faceoff Force: Ohio State's Jocelyn Amos recorded 23 faceoff wins last Saturday in the win over Minnesota State. Amos matched her season high she had previously set against Bemidji State on Oct. 11. Amos leads all WCHA skaters this season with the most faceoff wins in a game with her 23.
Battling Beaver: Last Friday against Minnesota, Bemidji State's Kaitlin Groess made 50 saves in the Beavers' loss, marking the second most of her career.
Big-Time Badger: Wisconsin's Kirsten Simms recorded her 200th career point with her goal in the Badgers' 4-4 draw with St. Cloud State last weekend. Simms became the eighth Badger in program history to reach the historic milestone.
