Ohio State's Dunne, Svensson & Wisconsin's Harvey Awarded HCA National Monthly Honors for November

Just two days after earning Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) monthly honors, Ohio State's duo of Joy Dunne and Hilda Svensson, and Wisconsin's Caroline Harvey earned National Player of the Month honors for November, announced by the Hockey Commissioners Association (HCA) on Thursday.

HCA Forward of the Month - Joy Dunne, Ohio State
Ohio State's Joy Dunne was named the HCA National Forward of the Month for her performance through seven games in November. Dunne recorded nine goals and 10 assists for 19 points during the month and helped Ohio State to a perfect 7-0-0 record. The junior forward had a +18 through seven games and had five multi-point games in November, including a four-goal game on Nov. 1 against then No. 15 St. Thomas. Dunne's 30 points are tied for sixth among all NCAA skaters this season, while her 17 goals are third-best. 

HCA Defender of the Month - Caroline Harvey, Wisconsin
Wisconsin's Caroline Harvey claimed back-to-back national monthly honors, being tabbed the HCA National Defender of the Month after a 20-point effort in November. Harvey recorded four goals and 16 assists through seven games in November and earned at least a point in all seven games. The Badger blueliner recorded a +12 on the Month while helping top-ranked Wisconsin to a 6-0-1 record. Harvey currently leads all skaters in the NCAA in both points (37) and assists (28) this season. 

HCA Rookie of the Month - Hilda Svensson, Ohio State
For the second-straight month, Ohio State's Svensson was named the HCA National Rookie of the Month for her efforts in November. Svensson totaled 16 points, 11 assists, and a +14 in seven games played while also recording five multi-point games. In the Buckeyes' 8-0 win against No. 10 Clarkson at the D1 in DC event, Svensson recorded the first hat trick of her career. The first-year Buckeye ranks first among all rookies in the NCAA in points (31), goals (12), and assists (19). Her 19 assists on the season are currently tied for second among all NCAA skaters, while her 31 points rank fifth overall.
