CESKE BUDEJOVICE, Czechia – Former Western Collegiate Hockey Association and Wisconsin star Hilary Knight headlined day seven of the 2025 IIHF Women's World Championship with her record-setting performance.

- The 2008-09 WCHA Player of the Year and Team USA Captain, Hilary Knight, had three assists in the victory and became the IIHF Women's Worlds all-time assists leader after reaching 50 assists.
- Caroline Harvey, the two-time WCHA Defender of the Year, scored her first goal of the event off an assist from Knight.
- Former Golden Gopher Kelly Pannek also tallied an assist for Team USA in the win
- Anna Wilgren, who skated for both Minnesota State and Wisconsin, recorded her first point of the event on an assist.
- Wisconsin sophomore netminder Ava McNaughton saw her first action in the net at the event and tallied three saves for Team USA.
- Former Ohio State goaltender Andrea Braendli recorded 48 saves in the loss for Switzerland.

- Minnesota's Josefin Bouveng recorded a multi-point performance after scoring her first goal of the tournament and tallying an assist for Sweden.
- Incoming Ohio State Buckeyes Jenna Raunio and Hilda Svensson each scored a goal and tallied an assist for Sweden in the win.
- Current Ohio State defender Mira Jungåker recorded an assist as did Ida Karlsson of Minnesota Duluth.
- The 8-0 victory on Tuesday ensured a perfect preliminary round for Sweden as the team faces Finland in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

- Three with WCHA connections skated in the lineup for Germany with Svenja Voigt and Laura Kluge of St. Cloud State and current Minnesota Duluth Bulldog Nina-Jobst Smith.
With the preliminary rounds concluding, the quarter-final pairings at the 2025 IIHF Women’s World Championship have been set. Thursday's action will see Finland face Sweden, followed by the USA taking on Germany, Switzerland facing host Czechia, and Canada against Japan.
