Wisconsin's Harvey & McNaughton Claim HCA National Monthly Honors for December

After helping Wisconsin to a top-two series sweep in December, Caroline Harvey and Ava McNaughton landed National Player of the Month honors, announced by the Hockey Commissioners Association (HCA) on Thursday.

HCA Defender of the Month - Caroline Harvey, Wisconsin
Wisconsin's Caroline Harvey was named the HCA National Defender of the Month for December, marking her third consecutive month earning the honor. Harvey is the only player in the NCAA to earn the honor this season. Harvey recorded the game-winning goal in the Badgers' 2-1 series opener against No. 2 Ohio State and followed up in Saturday's 6-1 victory with a one-goal, two-assist performance. Harvey's three-point performance in game two of the series marked her 12th multi-point game of the season. Harvey currently leads all NCAA defenders in points (41), assists (30), and goals (11). The Badger blueliner was recently named to the Team USA Olympic roster for the 2026 Winter Games in Milano-Cortina

HCA Co-Goalie of the Month  - Ava McNaughton, Wisconsin
Wisconsin's Ava McNaughton was named the HCA National CO-Goalie of the Month for December after backstopping the top-ranked Badgers to a series sweep of No. 2 Ohio State. McNaughton allowed just one goal in each game while recording 25 saves in game one and followed up with 35 saves in game two of the series. The junior netminder leads all goaltenders in the NCAA with her 1.27 goals against average, while her six shutouts on the season are tied for second. McNaughton also earned a spot on the Team USA Olympic roster for the 2026 Winter Games in Milano-Cortina.
