HERNING and ESBJERG, Denmark – The second day of the 2026 IIHF Women’s World Championship featured just two matchups, where five players with ties to the WCHA took to the ice.

A trio of skaters laced up for Germany, to face off with Eva Beiter (Bemidji State) and Annika Fazokas (St. Cloud State) and the Austrian team. The day's other matchup included host Denmark defeating Japan in a shootout, 3-2. Denmark and Japan are the only two rosters of the 10 competing countries to not have a WCHA player in the lineup.

Sunday's upcoming schedule includes the United States taking on Germany, Finland facing Sweden, Czechia vs. Switzerland, and Canada vs. Japan.
