The final weekend of the 2025-26 Western Collegiate Hockey Association regular season takes place begining this Friday, with all eight teams battling for postseason seeding.

Fans can purchase single-session tickets for the 2026 Kwik Trip WCHA Final Faceoff today at the link HERE. Annually featuring a collection of the nation's highest-ranked programs and best players, the WCHA's four remaining teams will compete for the league's playoff championship and an automatic berth in the 2026 NCAA tournament. The league's premier event begins on Thursday, March 5, with two semifinal matchups at 4 PM CT and 7:30 PM CT, with the championship final taking place on Saturday, March 7, at 2 PM CT.

FACEOFF FACTS
In the Polls: Seven of the eight WCHA squads were recognized in the latest USCHO poll. Wisconsin took the top spot, followed by No. 2 Ohio State, No. 3 Minnesota, No. 10 Minnesota Duluth, No. 15 Minnesota State, along with St. Cloud State, and St. Thomas, who each recieved votes.
Race to the Crown: With just one weekend of regular-season action left, the 2026 WCHA regular-season title is still up for grabs between Wisconsin and Ohio State as the Badgers hold a two-point advantage over the Buckeyes heading into the weekend.
Home Sweet Home: Four WCHA squads have locked up home ice advantage for the 2026 WCHA First Round, taking place from February 27th to March 1st, as Minnesota, Minnesota Duluth, Ohio State, and Wisconsin will serve as the host sites.
Hall Does it All: In last Friday's 4-1 victory against Minnesota State, Wisconsin's Cassie Hall recorded her 100th career point with her goal in the third period of the game.
No No Says JoJo: St. Cloud State netminder Jojo Chobak recorded her 11th career shutout and helped the Huskies earn a series sweep with her 24-save shutout performance last Saturday. Chobak now holds the St. Cloud State program record for career shutouts.
Bulldog Brick Wall: Ève Gascon recorded a perfect series in net for Minnesota Duluth against St. Thomas last weekend and now has recorded three-straight shutouts. With her shutout in game two, Gascon is now in a tie for the second most shutouts in UMD program history. The Bulldog netminder leads the WCHA this season with nine shutouts on the season and is tied for second in the NCAA.
Big-Time Beaver: In last Saturday's contest against St. Cloud State, Oliva Dronen reached 100 games played in her career with Bemidji State.
Elite on AND off the ice: The WCHA announced this past Tuesday that 118 student-athletes were named to the 2025-26 WCHA All-Academic Team. The list consists of student-athletes who have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in their previous two semesters or three quarters and who have achieved at least sophomore status in their academic careers.
Best in the Nation: The WCHA is currently home to the top three point leaders in the NCAA this season, with Minnesota's Abbey Murphy leading the way with 61, followed by Wisconsin's duo of Lacey Eden (60) and Caroline Harvey (54). Harvey also leads all defenders in the NCAA in points (61), goals (17), and assists (37).
For all the Medals: A total of 37 with WCHA ties will compete for medals at the 2026 Winter Olympics across four countries on Thursday, February 19th. Team USA and Team Canada will compete in the gold medal game while Team Sweden and Team Switzerland will play for bronze.
