- Twenty with WCHA ties earned gold with Team USA, while 11 former WCHA stars earned a silver medal finish with Team Canada.
- Current Badger captain Caroline Harvey earned Olympic MVP after collecting two goals and seven assists in seven games. Harvey became the first Badger to ever take home the honor.
- Former Golden Gopher Taylor Heise assisted on the game-winning goal in overtime for Team USA
- Hilary Knight scored the equalizer for Team USA with less than three minutes left in regulation, while current Badger Laila Edwards assisted on the goal.

- Six with WCHA connections earned the Bronze medal for Team Switzerland, including current St. Cloud State standout Laura Zimmerman.
- Ohio State's Mira Jungåker recorded the lone goal for Sweden in the win as teammate Hilda Svensson assisted on the goal.
- Minnesota Duluth's Johansson also assisted on the Jungåker's goal as she totaled seven points at the games off her four goals and three assists.
