Beavers Earn 2-1 Victory over Mavericks to Claim First WCHA Victory of 2022

Breiland and Hunt each score to power Beavers to win

BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University women's hockey team earned its first Western Collegiate Hockey Association victory of the season Friday afternoon after defeating Minnesota State University, Mankato 2-1 at Sanford Center. The Beavers (3-7-1, 1-6-0 WCHA) earned the 2-1 victory over the Mavericks (2-7-0, 2-7-0 WCHA) after sophomore Shelby Breiland scored her first career goal and senior Reece Hunt netted the game-winning goal.
