Three of the top four teams in the nation earned victories in Friday's Western Collegiate Hockey Association action as No. 2 Ohio State, No. 3 Minnesota and No. 4 Minnesota Duluth moved ahead in the league standings.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Buckeyes defeated Bemidji State 6-0 inside of the OSU Ice Rink for the team's fourth shutout of the season. After 17 minutes of scoreless action in the first frame, Maddi Wheeler put her team on the board while earning her 100th career point on the play. The second frame saw Jocelyn Amos score two of her four goals as she became the first Buckeye of the season to record a hat trick. The Buckeyes would go on to score three more unanswered in the third as Amanda Thiele earned her first shutout of the season with 16 saves in the game. Despite the loss, Bemidji State's rookie netminder Kaitlin Groess tallied 38 saves.

DULUTH, Minn. - In the day's only top-10 matchup, the third-ranked Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs shut out No. 10 St. Cloud State 3-0 inside AMSOIL arena. A two-goal second period propelled the Bulldogs to victory as Olivia Mobley and Ida Karlsson each found the back of the net. Olivia Wallin closed out the game in the third with an empty net goal with under two minutes to play. Minnesota Duluth's Ève Gascon recorded 24 saves while earning her third shutout of the season. St. Cloud State's freshman goaltender Emilia Kyrkkö made 31 stops in the loss. The Bulldogs remain undefeated in 2025 and extended their unbeaten streak to nine games after tonight's victory.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The third-ranked Minnesota Gophers defeated St. Thomas in a thrilling 4-2 victory at home on Friday night. After a scoreless first frame, Minnesota's Audrey Wethington netted her first goal of the season on the power play to put her team on the board. The Gophers would score two more unanswered in the second courtesy of Ava Lindsay and Emma Conner. Down three, St. Thomas opened up the third frame with back-to-back Tommie goals from Nora Sauer and Maddy Clough, but the push was not enough as the Gophers' Allie Franco scored her first of the season on the empty net to seal the deal with under a minute to play.
