Friday's action in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association was highlighted by four of the top 11 teams in the NCAA earning victories.

MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. - 
The top-ranked Wisconsin Badgers recorded their third straight win after defeating St. Thomas 6-1 on the road on Friday night. Wisconsin's Casey O'Brien opened up the scoring with her 50th point of the season on a power play goal early in the first frame. Lauren Stenslie responded with the Tommies' only goal of the night before O'Brien scored her second goal in the first frame for a 2-1 Badger lead. Wisconsin scored two goals in the first five minutes of the second period courtesy of Cassie Hall and Ava Murphy. Hall scored her second of the game 11 minutes into the third frame, while teammate Laila Edwards scored the sixth and final goal of the night. O'Brien became the first player in the NCAA to score 50 points this season.

DULUTH, Minn. -  
In a top-four ranked matchup between No. 2 Ohio State and No. 4 Minnesota Duluth, the Buckeyes defeated the Bulldogs 3-1, bringing UMD's 10-game unbeaten streak to a close. Ohio State started the scoring early in the first frame, as Jocelyn Amos scored on the power play 1:28 into the game. Riley Brengman followed up with another Buckeye goal right before UMD's Caitlin Kraemer pulled the Bulldogs within one. After a scoreless second frame, Ohio State's Kiara Zanon finished the game in the third with an empty net goal with under two minutes left to play. Minnesota Duluth's Eve Gascon finished the game with a career-high 58 saves,

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - 
 St. Cloud State shut out Bemidji State 3-0 for its first win of 2025 on Friday afternoon. Emma Gentry put the Huskies on the board with under four minutes left to go in the first off of an assist from Alice Sauriol. The second frame saw Sofianna Sundelin and Siiri Yrjölä each tally a goal, while the Huskies and Beavers were scoreless in the third. The Huskies' Sauriol assisted on all three goals while freshman netminder Emilia Kyrkkö earned the shutout win after making 17 saves in the game. Bemidji State's Kaitlin Groess made 28 saves on the night in the loss to the Huskies.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - 
The third-ranked Minnesota Gophers recorded eight goals in their victory over Minnesota State inside Ridder Arena on Friday night. The Gophers got on the board within the first two minutes of play as Josefin Bouveng found the back of the net. Bella Shipley tied the game at one after scoring a goal for the Mavericks eight minutes later. Emma Kreisz took back the lead for the Gophers to close out the first. Abbey Murphy opened the second frame, scoring just 20 seconds in before Minnesota State's Kianna Roeske brought her team within one in the second. The Gophers scored four straight goals before the Mavericks' Alexis Paddington scored on the power play with 10 minutes remaining in the third. Peyton Hemp then finished off the scoring with the eighth Gopher goal of the night.
