Minnesota Duluth's Gascon & Mayer, St. Cloud State's Sauriol & St. Thomas' Hause Claim WCHA Weekly Honors Presented by OS Hockey

St. Cloud State's Alice Sauriol and St. Thomas' Ellah Hause joined Minnesota Duluth's duo of Ève Gascon and Rae Mayer in claiming the latest Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) weekly honors presented by OS Hockey.



WCHA Forward of the Week
Alice Sauriol, Jr., St. Cloud State (Sherbrooke, Quebec)
St. Cloud State's Alice Sauriol tallied five points in the Huskies series split with then RV St. Thomas en route to earning her first WCHA Forward of the Week honor of the season. Sauriol scored two goals and chipped in an assist in Friday's 4-3 overtime win against the Tommies, and recorded the game-winning goal in overtime. The two goals in the series opener for Sauriol marked the first two-goal game of her career. In game two of the series, Sauriol recorded one goal and an assist to finish the weekend with five points.

WCHA Defender of the Week
Ellah Hause, Jr., St. Thomas (Forest Lake, Minn.)

For the first time in her career, St. Thomas' Ellah Hause was awarded the Defender of the Week honor for her four-point series performance against then No. 10 St. Cloud State. On Friday against the Huskies Hause tallied one goal in the 4-3 overtime loss for the Tommies. The junior defender followed up with a one goal, two assist performance in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win helping the Tommies earn their first ranked win of the season. Hause also recorded six blocked shots in the series.

WCHA Goaltender of the Week
Ève Gascon, Jr., Minnesota Duluth (Mascouche, Quebec) 

After an undefeated weekend in net for Minnesota Duluth, Ève Gascon was awarded the WCHA Goaltender of the Week, marking her second weekly honor of the season. Gascon led all league goaltenders on the weekend with a .976 save percentage after making 41 of 42 saves against RV Minnesota State, including a 24-save shutout perfromance in the series opener. The Bulldog netminder collected 17 saves in game two of the series for the Bulldogs. Gascon's shutout in game one marked her fourth of the season as she moved into sole possession of fifth place for most career shutouts in Minnesota Duluth program history at 14 total.

WCHA Rookie of the Week
Rae Mayer, Forward, Minnesota Duluth (Chesapeake, Va.)

Minnesota Duluth's Rae Mayer earned her first-ever WCHA Rookie of the Week honor for her performance in the Bulldogs' series sweep of RV Minnesota State. In Friday's 5-0 shutout over the Mavericks, Mayer recorded her first multi-point game of her career scoring one goal and tallying an assist. The rookie forward followed up in Saturday's 3-1 come-back win with an assist as she now has three goals and three assists in her first eight games at Minnesota Duluth.
