JAPAN 2, HUNGARY 0 - FULL RECAP | BOX SCORE
- Japan clinched its second victory in two days, with the 2-0 shutout victory over Hungary.
- Hungary has been held scoreless in both of its contests at the event.
- Three with WCHA ties appeared on the Hunary lineup with Minnesota's Emma Kreisz and former St. Thomas standouts Lotti Odnoga and Isabel Lippai.
CANADA 4, SWITZERLAND 0 - FULL RECAP | BOX SCORE
- Team Canada scored three second-period goals in a span of 2:32 to earn the 4-0 shutout over Switzerland.
- Former Wisconsin Badgers Daryl Watts and Sarah Nurse contributed to the win for Canada as Watts scored a goal and Nurse tallied a helper.
- Natalie Spooner, who was a former standout at Ohio State and named the inaugural IIHF Female Player of the Year in 2024, scored a goal in the victory for Canada.
- In her first start of the tournament for Team Canada former Badger netminder Ann-Renée Desbiens made 17 stops.
- Former Ohio State netminder Andrea Brändli collected 36 saves in the loss for Switzerland and has now recorded 64 stops in two games at the event.
USA 4, CZECHIA 0 - FULL RECAP | BOX SCORE
- Minnesota's Abbey Murphy scored a goal in the first and second periods to help lift Team USA past Czechia and improve to 2-0 at the event.
- Team USA captain and former Wisconsin Badger Hilary Knight recorded a power-play goal in the third frame for her second goal of the tournament.
- The Wisconsin duo of Caroline Harvey and Kirsten Simms both tallied an assist as well as former Golden Gopher Kelly Pannek.
