In another exciting night of WCHA action, the top two teams in the nation faced off while two squads picked up conference points.
No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Minnesota are the two WCHA teams to remain undefeated this season, while RV St. Thomas earned an upset victory of No. 10/9 Minnesota Duluth to earn its first points in the standings race.

- Senior forward Sofianna Sundelin recorded both goals for the Huskies in her first multi-goal game of the season. Sundelin also had a standout performance against Colgate last season, when she net a hat trick against the Raiders on Nov. 28, 2025.
- Junior goaltender Emilia Kyrkkö tallied 19 saves, including a game-high of 12 in the opening frame.
- The St. Cloud State squad outshot Colgate by a 29-24 margin, and went 2-for-2 on the penalty kill. St. Cloud State is now 10-for-11 (90.9%) on the penalty kill this season.

- With the win in its hosted East/West Showcase, Minnesota remains undefeated this season at 3-0-0 overall. Minnesota hosts Bemidji State for a nonconference matchup on Sunday to round out the tournament.
- Junior netminder Hannah Clark tallied her sixth career shutout and first of the year behind 23 saves.
- As a transfer from Mercyhurst, junior forward Julia Schalin scored her first goal in the Maroon and Gold by rounding out the evening's scoring.

- Friday was St. Thomas' first win over a top-10 team since Oct. 18, 2025, when the Tommies defeated No. 10 St. Cloud State 4-3 in overtime St. Cloud, Minn.
- The Tommies outshot Minnesota Duluth 36-17 and scored once in each of the final two periods.
- It was also St. Thomas' third win over Minnesota Duluth in the DI era. The Tommies swept the Bulldogs at St. Thomas Ice Arena in 2024-25, winning 3-2 and 4-3 in overtime.

- The Buckeyes (5-0-0, 3-0-0 WCHA) scored twice in the third period to come from behind and hand the Badgers (4-1-0, 0-1-0 WCHA) their first loss of the season.
- Freshman netminder Rowan Houweling made a career-high 20 saves in her first game against the Badgers. She is now 3-0-0 on the year.
- Sophomore forward Hilda Svensson has recorded a point on every Ohio State power play goal this season. Three of her five goals this year have been on the power play.
