Minnesota's duo of Abbey Murphy and Chloe Primerano were joined by Minnesota Duluth's Ève Gascon and Wisconsin's Maggie Scannell in claiming this week's Western Collegiate Hockey Association weekly honors presented by OS Hockey.
After helping the Gophers to a series sweep over St. Thomas, Minnesota's Murphy was named the Forward of the Week while teammate Primerano claimed her first Defender of the Week honor of the season. Minnesota Duluth's Gascon was tabbed the Goaltender of the Week while Wisconsin's Scannell took home the Rookie of the Week honor.
WCHA Forward of the Week
Abbey Murphy, R-Sr. Minnesota (Evergreen Park, Ill.)
After recording an eight-point weekend in Minnesota's series sweep over St. Thomas, Abbey Murphy claimed the WCHA Forward of the Week honor. In Friday's 5-0 victory, Murphy tallied two goals and three assists, notching a point on every Minnesota goal throughout the game. In Saturday's 6-2 win, Murphy notched one goal and two assists. The eight points on the weekend tied Murphy's career-high for a series.

WCHA Defender of the Week
Chloe Primerano, Fr., Minnesota (North Vancouver, British Columbia)
Minnesota's Chloe Primerano recorded back-to-back multi-point games en route to earning her first WCHA Defender of the Week nod. In Minnesota's 5-0 win on Friday night against St. Thomas, Primerano posted one goal and one assist while following up with a goal and an assist in Saturday's 6-2 victory. The four-point series was a career-high for the rookie defender as she also recorded a plus/minus of four on the weekend.

WCHA Goaltender of the Week
Ève Gascon, So., Minnesota State (Mascouche, Quebec)
For the second time this season, Minnesota Duluth's Ève Gascon was named the WCHA Goaltender of the Week. Gascon averaged 24.50 saves per game in the Bulldogs' series against No. 8 St. Cloud State. In Friday's shootout against the Huskies, Gascon posted three saves to help the Bulldogs secure the extra WCHA point. On Saturday, Gascon recorded 27 saves in the Bulldogs' 3-1 victory. In total, Gascon saved 49 of the 51 shots faced on the weekend for a 0.961 save percentage.

WCHA Rookie of the Week
Maggie Scannell, Fr., F, Wisconsin (Wynantskill, N.Y.)
Wisconsin's Maggie Scannell claimed the WCHA Rookie of the Week honor for the second time in her career after her performance in the Badgers' series sweep over Minnesota State. Scannell scored two goals including the game-winning goal in Saturday's 5-0 victory over the Mavericks. The forward was the only rookie in the league to tally a game-winning goal on the weekend while her .667 shooting percentage was tied for the league lead.
